SAN  FRUTTUOSO

Baba with the entire group, visited San Fruttuoso where they cruised on the sea in a motorboat for the whole day. The next day, they had a picnic in Portofino Vetta and went up the mountain in a caravan-carriage drawn by two horses. All including Baba, were in a festive mood.

 (Aug 23rd)  Alexandria, Egypt - then train to Cairo - Giza - Port Said –

                     departed S.S. Victoria 

 (Aug 29th)  Bombay, India - arrived ( Sept 5th.)

The entrance to San Fruttuoso can be seen on the top upper far left on the above aerial image of Portofino Point. The villa Meher Baba and his group stayed in is the rose coloured villa called Villa Altachiara on the lower left of the image.

CHRIST OF THE ABYSS

The statue has been replaced 3 times since it was first installed. It is located around the Western point at Portofino, Italy. It is 55 metres deep.
