Meher Baba arrived with his men on the

SS Rajputana at the French port city of Marseilles. This was the first time the Avatar set foot in the West in this advent.

After refreshing for a couple hours at a local hotel, they took the train to Paris and changed trains for the port of Boulogne on the English Channel. They took the ferry to Folkestone, England, then by car and train to London.
