Aude Gotto, née van Berchem, was born in Switzerland in 1944 and grew up in Geneva and the village of Crans-pres-Celigny near Lac Leman. After studying at the Sorbonne University in Paris she became a school teacher. She married her first husband Tony de Sousa in 1967, with whom she had a son in 1974. She moved to England in 1978 to become a counsellor and was a founding partner of the Norwich Centre for Counselling. She married Alan Gotto, harpsichord-maker, in 1987. Founder-Director of the King of Hearts, Centre for People and the Arts, Aude was a dedicated and much-loved figure in Norwich life. She was also a keen music-lover, art appreciator, gardener and member of the Meher Baba community. We offer our profound and heartfelt thanks for Aude’s long and distinguished life and everything she gave: she will be much missed.
