MEDITATION ON A LEAF


	Uncertain as life's doubtful span,
	This contrast twixt the dark and light
	Which constitutes an endless fight,
	Must always thus unanswered be
	Until that time is reached that we
	Can dwell upon our whole belief
	In thoughts unsullied as a leaf,
	Which comes from Nature, pure and clean,
	Intricate and lovely to be seen
	No matter what the body's flaws,
	No matter what Our Maker's laws,
	The Soul of man must rule supreme
